Mindblowing demo unveils "Minority Report"-like interface (Jeff Han, TEDTalks)

copied this from one of the blogs i read....

You better get ready - technology is about to explode in ways we cannot imagine - in ways that are so tanigible and engage us physically. After seeing yesterday's link, my friend passed this link on to me (she saw it on a thread at DST) and I think its a must-see too. This is a video taken at a technology conference.

Lord, give me a sign...

God, give me a sign, to tell me if this is your plan for me or is it not? How many of us struggle with trying to discern whether what we are tasked to do is a responsibility from our Heavenly Father or is it merely our human intuition, our strong appealing desire to take on such a task (for our own benefit)?

I asked God for a sign...just to confirm if i am to be involved in a certain ministry. Well, Gideon used fleece and God answered him. I decided to use people. I asked God to send 5 people(whom i have not contacted in a long time) to me as a 'go ahead' sign. Guess what!? God sent 6!!! Our God is eternally faithful..."ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full..."

Saturday with the i-youth was as usual is the highlight of my week. Tonight it was games nite. I was totally blur throughout the whole nite...like my grey matter couldn't even function....However, i learnt 2 things.

1. There was this game that nite. A meeting scene. Members were given a sticker each to stick to their foreheads with instructions such as "Ignore me, agree with me, talk nonsense to me, I need directions, support me and disagree with me" When i get the idea of the game, i was trying very hard to 'ignore' the person with the 'ignore me' sticker.. I knew it would hurt. Then again, as i reflect , there are times when i chose to deliberately ignore people, or just give them a casual glance and walk on...This game gets me to think. won't the person get hurt too?
2. I crashed my plane and all of us went to meet our Maker. How i marvel at those who can see the patterns of the game and pronto! they deciphered their secret code...and i was struggling with it. Witty youths!

HER DIARY
Day night, I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a cafe to have some coffee.I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment. Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk, he agreed but he kept
quiet and absent. I asked him what was wrong - he said, "Nothing."
I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry. On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love u,too."When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV. He seemed distant and absent.
Finally I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed. I decided that I could not take it anymore, so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep. I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep.I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else . My life is a disaster.

SHOULD CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN?

By William J. Schnoebelen

An old proverb says, "When you sup with the devil, use a long spoon." Presumably, NO genuine Christian would want to sup with the devil at all and yet many may be doing so in ignorance.

As a former witch high priest now saved by Jesus, I was astonished by how many Christians let their kids celebrate Halloween. Some churches even sponsor "haunted houses" and similar events on what is the Number One satanic "helliday" of the year. Halloween used to be called Samhain, and is still celebrated as an ancient pagan festival of the dead by witches all over the world. Unfortunately, just giving the date a "holy" name like All Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve cannot change its grisly character. Halloween is an occasion when the ancient gods (actually demons) are worshiped with human sacrifice. The apostle Paul warns us: "But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils" (1 Cor. 10:20).

If you are a Christian parent, God has given you a precious responsibility in your children. Remember, their ability to resist spiritual wickedness is much less than yours. If you allow your children to participate in Halloween (Trick or Treating, costume parties, etc.) you are allowing them to play on "the devils turf," and Satan will definitely press his home court advantage. You are opening up doorways into their young lives for evil by bringing them into a kind of "fellowship" with these ancient "gods."

We are commanded not to become involved with the unfruitful works of darkness (Eph. 5:11). Both from my experience as a witch, and since getting saved, as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have seen far too many examples of how breaking this command works out in lives. Remember, while we have God's promise of protection for ourselves and our children, that promise may not hold if we allow our children to celebrate this dark holiday. Case after case has come to us of children in rebellion. In many of these families, the problem can be traced back to the children being exposed to Halloween at a young age. It is hard enough to raise children these days in a Godly way without exposing them to Satan's realm.

A great reminder to go out evangelising, no matter how bad the prospects may seem. God can use each and everyone of us to do great and wonderful things, if only we give Him our time and effort. Speak a word for Jesus today!

The Pastor and his son

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his
warmest and driest clothes and said, "OK, dad, I'm ready."
His Pastor dad asked, "Ready for what?"

"Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out."

Dad responds, "Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain." The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, "But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?"

Dad answers, "Son, I am not going out in this weather." Despondently, the boy asks, ?Dad, can I go? Please?"
His father hesitated for a moment then said, "Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son."
"Thanks Dad!" And with that, he was off and out into the rain.

This eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract. After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were
totally deserted. Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer. Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him.
Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch. He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady.

She softly asked, "What can I do for you, son?"
With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said,
"Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE." With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. "Thank you, son! And God Bless You!"
Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, "Does anybody have testimony or want to say anything?" Slowly, in the back row of
the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, "No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago,
leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that
I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to
live. So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell
downstairs startled me. I thought, "I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away." I waited and waited, but the ringing
doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to
myself again, "Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me." I loosened the rope from my
neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder. When I opened the door and looked I could
hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and
angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, " Ma'am, this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.

As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more.

You see---
I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have
come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell." There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated. He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more
glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son...
Except for One. This Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the
Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named. Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.

Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Heaven is for His people! Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you.

YES, A VERY LITTLE GESTURES CAN MAKE A GREAT DIFFERENT IF WE ARE WILLING GOD IS ABLE TO USE US FOR THE GLORY OF HIS KINGDOM

T.T, could'nt believe my eyes when i saw Alvin's msg last nite. I thought that it was a prank, till i read the news on Yahoo!. Yes, he is indeed a great loss to us, to those who appreciates him, his enthusiam and excitement for the wildlife was simply infectious.

Many of us mourned his passing................

"if any of you are wondering how such a wonderful person could be struck down when he still has so much to give, try thinking about everything that he has given us. How may people give so much during their whole lives?"

May our lives be like Steve's, impacting and influencing everyone around us.

Joke #1
There are LOTS of ways to ruin a date. Here are a few things NOT to say on a date...
1 "I really don't like this restaurant that much, but I wanted to use this 2-for-1 coupon before it expired."
2 "I refuse to get cable. That's how they keep tabs on you."
"I used to come here all the time with my ex."
3 "Could you excuse me? My cat gets lonely if he doesn't hear my voice on the answering machine every hour."
4 "I really feel that I've grown in the past few years. Used to be I wouldn't have given someone like you a second look."
5 "And I won that trophy in the inter-fraternity belching contest."
6 "I know you said you don't eat anything with a face. But a good butcher will cut that part off for you if you ask."
7 "It's been tough, but I've come to accept that most people I date just won't be as smart as I am."
8 "I never said you NEED a nose job. I just said it wouldn't hurt to consider it.

Joke #2
A language instructor was explaining to her class that French nouns, unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.
Things like 'chalk' or 'pencil,' she described, would have a gender association although in English these words were neutral. Puzzled, one student raised his hand and asked, "What gender is a computer?"
The teacher wasn't certain which it was,and so divided the class into two groups and asked them to decide if a computer should be masculine or feminine. One group was comprised of the women in the class, and the other, of men. Both groups were asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.
The group of women concluded that computers should be referred to in masculine gender because:
1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.
The men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definitely be referred to in the feminine gender because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories.

Lots of stuff to do, to plan ...

Ok, Part 2

Regarding parenting (IMHO)

Children are gifts bestowed to parents by God. Children are supposed to be a joy (hence the phrase a bundle of joy) rite? and not a burden. They are also a responsibility. Parents are merely stewards to these gifts from God....... How the children turned out will reflect on how we exercise that stewardship...think about that...

Yes, definitely bringing up children is never easy. The Bible says Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. So then, what is the way that the child should go? Definitely it is the way of the Lord. And the best way to do that will be thru our own lifestyle. Children see, children do...we cannot just teach them one thing and if we do not uphold what we teach...it just doesnt work. We really need to Talk the talk and walk the talk too. Again, value are caught not taught.

there are basically three kinds of parents (again IMHO):-

1. The King David Type
Generation : Commitment
Characteristics: loved ppl, used things, knew God and knew His works
Priority: God first, me second
Condition: Spiritual, hot, whole hearted for God

2. The King Solomon Type
Generation : Compromise
Characteristics: loved things, used ppl, knew God BUT knew not His Works
Priority: Me first, God second
Condition: Carnal, lukewarm, Half hearted for God

3. The King Rehoboam Type
Generation : Conflict
Characteristics: used ppl, used things, knew NOT God nor His works
Priority : Me first, me second
condition : natural, cold , No heart for God

From David to Solomon to Rehoboam were three generations...
So what i am trying to point out here is that godly parents do not guarantee godly children!

Parents, youth....
Let's ask ourselves this: Which type describe our spiritual condition best? and if we choose to do nothing about it, which condition will our children most likely be in? What is one measurable change we can make which will help us as parents or our children to be in the King David condition?

Being active and serving in the Church is always good but overdoing it and NEGLECTING the family is not something pleasing to the Lord, i believe. Ministries starts at home too! How you serve your family in the Lord is a ministry by itself, a true reflection of the faith in you, the love of God in you.

Parenting...it is a responsibility no doubt about it. but with it comes love, joy, peace, patience and kindness, goodness and self-control, gentleness and faithfulness..

A word to parents (if u r reading this) enjoy the gifts bestowed to you, treasure them, cherish them, invest them in the Lord, and That day will come when the Lord will say to you : "Well done, thou faithful servant..."

See the FUN in dysfunctional?.. have fun! I am...hehe

There are so many things happening all at once that i myself am at a loss for words on what to blog. Hmmm.... while getting my thoughts together, let me share some concerns here.

This year (2006), i am rather involved with i-youth...my involvement however does not cover teaching, praise and worship, that kind of stuff.... i feel that i am rather attached to them. what i am trying to say is take for example, there are people who loves football thus the saying makan bola, tidur bola, markah pun bola... well, with the youth, i am kinda like that. i live basically for saturday. Weird? Dunno.....

There are a few youth that i literally "grow" with them . Been with them through their emotional turmoil, been with them at their struggles with life at home and in school. Looking back my time as a youth, i cannot recall there being so much turmoil, hardship, PRESSURES, etc among the young people back then. Our days are basically basic. All the bare neccesities of live; food, clothing and shelter. Piano, tuition are items of luxury, affordable only by the rich.

IMHO with regards to :

EDUCATION
phew talk about pressure! Sometime i wonder, where does all this pressure come from? From the world? World standard = excellence in academic performance?

From the school? Schools are churning out batches after batches of "brilliant" students to meet the standards of the world and are indirectly are competing among other schools. Why? Indirectly telling the society that they are a better school, so SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE...we will help them get excellent results.???

From parents? I got so fed up with question like " which class is your child in?"...and the worst thing is when the answer is anywhere between 3rd class to last class, the probability of us seeing the parents again is zero...sheesh! In my time, education is viewed as a basic requirement at least until Form 5. As long as we can pass and get Grade A is a blessing already. But the youth nowadays are so pitiful (imho), so pressured to perform to excellence...to achieve straight As is not good enough, must strive to achieve straight A1s.

Another thing, with so many "brilliant students" available in the market, how could one stand a chance unless one is also at par in term of academic excellence and acheivement? Now wonder parents are pressured (face value, hehe) and to maintain that value, expectation is therefore placed upon their children to perform.

From the children, themselves?? i tried to Imagine being in the pressure chamber with all sides compressing on me....the world, the school, the family and friends and self....what to do but COMPELLED TO PERFORMED. No wonder we see lots and lots of individual with high IQ but no EQ

WE all place so much emphasis on education., 24/7 but how much time do we give to our spiritual education? Do we seek tuition on Bible knowledge or studies when we cannot understand? Do we seek to strive for excellence for the Lord in studying His Word? GMC theme for the year: Transformed by the Word of God. Have we as parents encourage our children to read the Bible? It is so sad to have parents coming to me and say that my child cannot come cos UPSR/exam is near and my child is at home/tuition bla bla bla.... how sad. Amazing isn't it when your child can memorised all the 36 amanah/nilai for moral but nil with rdgs to the scriptures from the Word of God.

Parents beware! Children look up to us as model in theirlives, live by examples, please, because values in life are caught not taught..beware of the seeds you plant in your children's heart. Good seeds : good fruits; bad seeds: bad fruits!

so dont blame it on the government, the society, the school... cos Education starts in your home.

( Part 1)

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Now, riddle me this......?????

Hi

Before i forget, wanna wish all of you guys and gals whose birthday fall in this month a very blessed birthday.

Life is so uncertained...agree ma? What if .....? How am i suppose to know.....? How leh....? Suppose....? Why me? Some questions have no immediate answers.... Some, the answers are right under our noses and we are too engrossed with the question to realise the answers, yet there are some questions that will always remain questions......

The Bible say "Trust in the Lord with all your hearts, do not rely on your own insights, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight. (Prov 3: 5&6)" "Have no anxiety with anything, but in everything with supplication and thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus." (Phil 4: 6&7)

ok.... now for some fun stuff.....

1. Light as a feather, nothing in it.
A strong man can't hold it more than a minute.
What is it?

2. I am sometimes strong and sometimes weak, But I am nobody's fool.
For there is no language that I can't speak, Though I never went to school.
What am I?

3. With pointed fangs it sits in wait,
With piercing force its doles out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might, Eternally joining in a single bite.
What am I?

ha ha.... tag your answers in the chatbox....
have a wonderful day.

Hey! Check these out. Hahaha.....

Herewith is a compendium of movie clichés, stereotypes, obligatory scenes, hackneyed formulas, shopworn conventions and outdated archetypes.

The author says that as you go to enough different movies, you start to notice things. Like how every time there's a chase scene in an exotic locale, a fruit cart gets overturned. Or how whenever the hero knocks out a Nazi sentry and puts on his uniform, the uniform is a perfect fit. Or how there are plots that would be over in five minutes, if all characters weren't idiots.

AC-WAT-NOBI Movie - A Cop With A Theory No One Believes In.

Against All Odds Rule - In an apparently fatal situation from which there is no possible hope of survival, it is certain the characters will survive. In a situation where there is any apparent chance of survival, there will be at least some deaths.

"Ain't Nobody Here but Us Chickens." - Whenever someone is alone at home at night and they hear a sound in the house and ask aloud, "(Name), is that you?" it NEVER is.

Air Vent Escape Route - If the hero is imprisoned in a building owned by the villains, there will inevitably be an air vent cover that is not screwed in and is easily removed. The passageway will be large enough to accommodate any size person.
The escape route will pass over the room where the bad guys are discussing the details of their diabolical plan, which the hero will now be able to foil.

Alien Berlitz Communication Rule (ABC Rule) - Movie aliens are able to learn the local language (English, French, Japanese, etc.) in an amazingly short time. Frequently this includes the ability to reproduce recognizable Earth-like accents.

Ali MacGraw's Disease - Movie illness in which only symptom is that the sufferer grows more beautiful as death approaches.

Back seat Inviso-Syndrome - Film characters are invariably unable to see a person crouched in the backseat of a car (even a convertible) when, in the real world, it is an impossible place for a person to hide.

Bad Movie Rental Warning Rule - If a rental movie box has a warning such as "If scenes of graphic horror offend you, do not rent this film!" -do not rent this film.

Baguette Envy - In every scene which includes a person carrying a bag of groceries, the bag will invariably contain a long, skinny, French baguette loaf, and exactly
8.5 inches of it will be exposed.

Bartender Establishing Shot - All movie bartenders, when first seen, are wiping the inside of a glass with a rag.

"Based on a True Story." - Hollywood shorthand, meaning:
Depressing, morbid, downbeat, including scenes so shocking or lascivious that no producer would include them in a movie unless he could excuse himself by saying these things actually happened.

Beeping Rule - In movies where cops, reporters, hackers, and others are using a computer to locate a suspect or special file, the successful retrieval of said subject is heralded with dramatic beeps, flashing messages, and other electronic indications that "something important has been found." The only time an ordinary computer ever beeps is when it refuses to carry out a command.

Beginning, The - Word used in titles of sequels to movies in which everyone was killed at the end of the original movie, making an ordinary sequel impossible. Explains to knowledgeable filmgoers that the movie will concern, for example, what happened in the Amityville house before the Lutzes moved in.
Other examples: The First Chapter, The Early Days, etc.

Best Play of the Game Rule - Every bad sports movie ends with the hero making an extraordinary catch/play/hit in slow motion to win the game at the final gun/bell/buzzer.

"Betcha Can't Name That Tune" Ploy - Almost all movie pianists, such as Clint Eastwood in 'In the Line of Fire', are perfectly happy playing nothing but chords. By never straying anywhere near a recognizable melody, they avoid paying royalties.

'Betsy' Syndrome - Identifying an actor in print by their latest film, regardless of how weak it was. Inspired by a newspaper article that appeared toward the end of Sir Lawrence Olivier's career, referring to him as "Lawrence ('The Betsy') Olivier."

Big Nod, The - Comes after the Last Word. After a character is fatally wounded, first he lies motionless and recites an incredibly meaningful statement. Then his head nods to one side.

Bogeyman Shot - Unaware victim is shot in close-up looking toward the camera, while a huge lopsided space is left vacant for the monster/killer to appear in.

Boob Tube - There is never anything worth seeing on TV in the movies.

Boom-Boom Rule - Whenever a building or a car explodes, the explosion will be repeated in its entirety from several different camera angles.

Born in the USA - Any movie set in an unnamed U.S. city will be revealed by the credits to have been filmed in Toronto or Vancouver.

British Roman Rule - All leaders of the Roman Empire have British accents. Why don't filmmakers want Romans to at least have Italian accents?

Broken Compass Principle - In New York City chase scenes, cars are able to turn off of avenues onto other avenues. This is impossible, since the avenues are parallel.

Bumbling Night Watchman - Any scene involving the good guy burgling an office at night will inevitably include a semi- competent night watchman, whose sole purpose is to inject an element of danger into an otherwise boring event. Actions performed by the watchman usually include shining flashlight through the window, rattling doorknobs, watching security monitors, etc., all done in a manner that allows the good guy to continue undetected until just after he discovers the needed information or object. He will then flee the scene with the watchman in pursuit.

Bun and Spectacles Rule - Any woman who appears in a movie with her hair in a tight bun and wearing glasses (usually large thick round ones) will inevitably turn out to be the beautiful heroine. She will magically acquire perfect vision and a sexy wardrobe.

When is your appointment?

WHEN IS YOUR APPOINTMENT?

Yep, that's the next highlight of our lives. Well, at least for Saturday nite. Has the movie got you all thinking of where you stand? Honestly, it "pained" me to challenge you all the way i did, but my conviction was just too strong to ignore. There is nothing in the world that can assure us of our salvation, our eternal life with God. $$, good deeds will not give us that assurance. It is the Word of God that we must turn to, to be assured of our position and standing before the Lord, Our God. 1 John 5:11,12.

Yes, it "pained" Auntie very much to see so many of you sitting down there, not sure of where you will be heading for eternity.... to see the expressions on your faces... maybe you were just too shy to come forward to profess your faith, maybe you just follow the crowd, maybe you are lost, maybe you were unsure....but it really does matter when you take that stand! I prayed that after that nite, all of you will reflect on your lives and not be ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of salvation to those who believe.

So be ready for your "Appointment".

A job well done, Youths! PTL for all of you. So what's next???? What's the next highlight in our life?

Youth Sunday 23/07

IGNITE!

Yes, that was the theme for our Youth Sunday Celebration today. Praise the Lord that EVERYTHING went well in the morning service.
Looking and reflecting back to all those saturday morning breakfasts, 'endless' meetings and practices.... I come to know JT, Leo, Aaron and understand them better now. The actors and actresses were great too! I really enjoyed all the time spent there with them, practising and rehearsing for their Sunday.

Finally the day itself. O how my heart sang this morning when i walked in and saw the youths wearing red (united we stand!) and looking excited. Usheres were in place, musical instruments checked, etc etc.....

The short sketch went well. and I believe that ppl are touched by the message.

Ladies and Gents, all your efforts were not in vain. Praise the Lord !

However, it is not so for the evening service...........

When Unc KC started to present, the mic did not work properly, the movie lagged and worst of all the 2006 youth convention promo could not even launched! (unc Clement's pc)

Haih...so pai seh....

Well, that's life and al least I learnt a lesson from tonight's experience. Always be prudent! Nothing is in vain....... there is always a purpose.

i'll be back soon........

Life...... how do you live yours?

I thank the Lord for the following:-
1. for being my comforter and guide, in giving me wisdom
2. being being the cornerstone of my life and
3. answering my prayer.

Father Lord God Almighty, since 3rd July till today, i have nothing worthy in my life but praises for your steadfast love, for your never ending mercies and your faithfulness. And indeed Father, Thou hast been faithful in Your Word to your servant " Seek and ye shall find. ask and it shall be given, knock and it shall be open unto you."

Rev Tie's teaching on Revelation provokes me to question the way i had lived the 39 years of my life and how i should live the remainder of it in the future. In Galation 2: 20, 21 " I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer i who live, but Christ who lives in me, and the life i now live in the flesh, i live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave himself for me".

Which church am i and how do i manage the ministry that i am called to served in?

1. Church of Ephesus - The Church that has lost its first love
2. Church of Smyrna - The Church that was persecuted for their faith?
3. Church of Pegamos - The Church that compromised in their teaching
4. Church of Thyatira - The Church that compromised in their practice
5. Church of Sardis - A dead church
6. Church of Ahiladelphia - The Faithful Church
7. Church of Laodicea - The Worthless Church (lack of genuine faith)

Teach me o Lord, to follow thy ways...... to live a life worthy of your calling.....

Mourning Monday

O Lord, Thou alone knowest my mixed emotions today.... Be my comforter, be my guide as i move on with my life today.

HELLOoooo everybody...... Boy o boy..... i had a very full-filled weekend this week.

SATURDAY NITE FEVER
As usual, i had my saturday nite fever with the youth. hehe...they were great...their praise and worship was vibrant. I took the liberty to walk all way to the front and my initial intention was just to take some pictures but when i saw the way they worship the Lord, it really touched my heart. That night was Bible study nite and i am really thankful that the youth are taking up a very proactive role in the responsibilities allocated to them. I've uploaded some of the pics for you. View them at this link: www.heavenlyambassador.blogspot.com

TRIPLE CELEBRATION
Sunday was great too! I really had a good time with the children yesterday. They're ever so full of energy and excitement and there was never a dull moment whenever i am with them. WOW! the way they sang "When the music fades" without the music..... they meant every word! At times i am beyond words to express how i feel.....like now, hehe...

Later when i walked into the main santuary i saw Darien and his friend and my heart leaped for joy! He is a pre-christian and his very presence there makes my heart sings! (Am praying for the right timing to share the Gospel with him.)

Lastly but not least....lunch and dinner was fabulous!.. we had steamboat and BBQ at Unc Paul and Aunty Maggie's place for lunch.... i had a wonderful time there ..... Dinner..we were invited to Judy's place to celebrate her birthday...Tis steamboat with a different touch....seafood!, taiwanese dumplings! on top of everything else.... yummy...

YEAH.........Life is indeed getting better!

Hahaha.... i love Garfield and whenever i longed for Fridays to come sooner ...i'd used this as my wall paper, my Msn display pic.....
I longed for the weekends....
Why? Cause i missed the i-Youth so very much. Well.... hehe Friday is here!

Where are You*

Wednesday......

Tis middle of the week nia..... how is everybody???? As for me... busy, busy, busy......

Hey....I am still waiting for you all to give me your sharings, words of encouragement...... AND u all dont even wanna tag har????

Sniff...sniff.... :'(

Wanna share this with you all.....

Everything is in a mess, but messiness doesn't necessarily mean ugly. When things are in a mess, there can be grace; When things are in a mess, there can be beauty. It's just like our lives, things can get messy sometimes, but it's through these moments of misfortune, we grow and learn.

As a Scorpio, I was once someone who always tried to look for perfection. But as time goes by, I realised that perfection in life doesn't exist. Things went wrong, situations got messy, and there were times when I really felt like giving up.

But really, if not for the tough experiences I've went through, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

So yes, when life is a mess, it can actually be a blessing in disguise. (Wang Guang {Li0nheart})

He has been through a lot. May we be encouraged by this sharing. LIFE GOES ON......

WORK.....

Everywhere one can see slogans, banners, ads all screaming the same thing....back to school.

Yeah..after this 2 weeks break...tis back to the work again...work on those weak subjects, work on your assignments, work on this, work on that..

Bos and sisters, when life has no meaning, no purpose, it brings us a lot of pain and little gain. SO, Why are we where we are? Why do we need to work so hard? To be subjected to ridicule, humiliation, verbal abuse, pressure to perform, to excel?

Bros and sisters in Christ, we all agreed that we are all here for a purpose. WORK is THE purpose. -.- "' .

PURPOSE of Work
1. Tis a divine call
THEREFORE we should see it as a duty, dignity and a delight...

God worked and is still working (on us),
Jesus worked 100%,, to be indentified with man, born into a carpenter family
Adam worked, partner with God
thus WE to must work..... :p

We are where we are because that is our marketplace...and we are called to influence, to transform our marketplace.

If work is a divine calling, then all work is sacred. and therefore idleness (slothfulness) is a sin!

My conviction...Impact your marketplace....Work like there's no tomorrow.

where are YOU*

Hi.... JT once wrote "Since light travels faster than sound, people looked bright until you hear them speak"......hahaha what a jolt!

Where's everybody? Catching up with homework and assignments.... haha...last minute as always?

As for me...spent most of my free time (whenever that is) online, reading, chatting.

Msn-ing with u guys are cool....interesting. A channel of get-to-know each other better. Other times, its just a hi-bye...in church, during i-Youth....

Awaiting tomorrow, to see most of you again. Kinda miss you all.... dearly....

Hey this is Chung Hui! Oh right, my church friends call me Frank and so does aunty Vivien and the kids that went to the Sunday school outing! I had an exuberating experience there! I'm not an outdoor person myself (I rather read a book or daydream) but these primary 5 & 6 kids sure taught me about fun again. My team, persistence was great! They were all bright and not to mention persistent kids; Just the stuff Jesus needs in His family. We were like one happy family huh? Even the organizers were cool (proves that age doesn't matter when it comes to having fun hehe). I really look forward to another outing ;).

GENEROSITY

Either everyone is snoozing on this lovely cooling afternoon, on their way to Australia, travelling, (net)surfing, in whatever you are doing, make it worth your time doing it.

A good afternoon for me to do some reflections...

BB and GB enrolment was done with great pride by both officers and their companies. A job well done! It is so wonderful to see committment and dedication in the officers in their efforts to touch the lives of the children. Drills, social skills, survival skills etc...

The presentations were wonderful...o how the little ones danced... i saw some of the youth were "entralled" by their performance. Hahaha...

Amazing isn't it how everything is always connected.......

Last nite unc KC delivered "Generosity", "carefully managing my resources so i can freely give to those in need"

My salute to all the BB and GB officers and not forgetting the CC teachers and the CC PnW musicians and helpers by their generosity. How they have invested their time, talents and resources in the children and encourage the children in worthwhile pursuits, believing in them, nurturing them and yet not expecting anyting in return. May the good Lord look upon them and bless them tremendously!

Generosity..... a big word.............

Haih...jz read a blog written by an ex i-youth.... so sad.... so lonely.... quitted coming because we made him felt like a black sheep in the family......

"Have we try to understand him, i mean really get to know him? understand his hurts, loneliness, struggles in life??? Can't we just listen to them and be compassionate towards them?? Must we always give a solution, an advice, whenever someone pours their hearts out??"

Those were my thoughts, when i read the blog. What saith thou?

Hi, what do you know...before i even realised it, a day has passed.. so busy lately with everything. AND everyone is so so very busy too... EXAMS!!!

But inspite of everything, bros and sisters, remember to BURN in YOUR marketplace too.....

Do take care of your selves, enough sleep and rest, balanced meals and the rest.

Deliverance and worship

Last nite message was on deliverance and worship. a very relevant topic for our church. Most of the youth were there and i am greatly encouraged to see that punctuality is once again demonstrated in their character.

Prasie the Lord for this wonderful group of youth.

Ps Steven Choon prophesied on the following:
1. The children ministry: God has heard the prayers of the teachers/helpers in this ministry. He will send a group of people who will also bring with them resources for this ministry.
2. The Youth ministy: Advisors and youth leaders: That we should not be concerned with numbers. But that God will sharpen our skills to reach out to non-believers, for evangelism.

Personally for Aunty Alicia and myself, the above are a confirmation to us.

Praise the Lord.

so blessed, so grateful for the youth's gratefulness..so touched...so loved! Posted by Picasa

what a touching and wonderful surprise! the 3Rs demonstrated imediately... Posted by Picasa

the 3 Rs

Gratefulness....
"Let other know by my words and actions how they have benefited my life"

R- remember R- Response R- responsible

I was very touched by the i-Youth last saturday (13/5), when they celebrated Parent's Day for all the advisors... it really warmed my heart to see they all maturing in their walk with God and thru their words and actions, i can witness the 3 Rs in their lives.
