1-Day mission trip
i-Youth is following Gan En Methodist Church for a one-day mission trip to a nearby village. Serving the community with full loyalty and relating to people without being selfish.. the i-Youth has decided to send 7 youths to take part in this trip.
So far i have the following who indicated their participation.

Pls take note of the above date and the following particulars and respond accordingly:
a. We will meet at Gan Enn on Sunday, 1pm and depart at 1.15pm. We should be back to Miri before 5. the journey to Sg Burid Long house is about 45 minutes.
b. We need 2 4 wheel drive. I will be going. Including advisors (like you and Teck Chung) and me, can we target 10 persons? Can you find the 2 vehicles.
c. Things to prepare: Need to do the ministry in BM;
one person to share testimony;
lead in singing BM children song;
tell bible story;
do colouring competition and prepare presents;
the ministry is mainly for children;
I will do prayer.
e. This is an exposure trip for our youths. Hopefully, our youths will plan to go back more times next year.

Last night we bid farewell to our Leh Bing, the big guy in i-Youth who has brought so much laughter to the fellowship. He is going to KL to further his studies and we pray that the Lord will be with Him always…. well….. anyway it was rather a emotional night for a few of us..
We definitely are going to miss you, Leh Bing……………………………….
Do well in what you are going to do in KL, do not forget the Lord. Find a church.

We called ourselves i-Youth, youth of integrity and influence so that we can impact those around us. Are we there yet?

As with driving and reaching our destination safely, we focus on the road and are on the constant look-out for pot-holes, bumps, slippery patches to avoid accidents, in the same way, we should also focus on our spiritual road and on the constant look-out for pot-holes, bumps and slippery situation to avoid falling into temptations and sins.
How? You may ask..Psalm 1 tells us all too clearly..Let’s live our lives according to it.

Mind your language
the younger generation just love to mimic..music, dance moves, and most obvious slangs.
But my dearly beloved, may i caution you to at least look up the word first before using it. IF the word is vulgar.....It not only taint your image but also give the hearers a very bad impression of a Christian. A BAD TESTIMONY!
Take for example this word that is so often on the mouth of youngsters, using it to mean "nonsense' and another to imply "very"

Since these 4 characters are frequent visitors to this youth blog, I would like to share a story abt them.
This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done
Where do you stand??
As Jesus' ministry began to unfold, His popularity continued to grow.
After having fed the five thousand with five barley loaves and two fish, the
multitude was ready to take Him by force and make Him king. (John 6:15)
Matthew recorded that Jesus sent the disciples away in the boat while He
remained and dismissed the crowd. (Matthew 14:22) Perhaps, they could have
easily gotten caught up in the excitement of the crowd. Though Jesus would
be King, it would not be in this way. Then as the crowds continued to
follow, Jesus tried to redirect their focus from physical things to the
spiritual. (John 6:22-65) Some of this teaching was difficult for many to
accept and therefore many turned away no longer walking with Him. (John
6:66)
For Jesus' closest disciples (the Twelve) to have witnessed such a
following and then see so many walk away, had potential to impact their own
view of what was to come. What were they to make of it all? Witnessing
rejection can really take away the excitement when so much momentum seemed
to have already been building.
We read. . .
"(66) After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer
walked with him. (67) So Jesus said to the Twelve, 'DO YOU WANT TO GO AWAY
AS WELL?'" (John 6:66-67 ESV)
In spite of others, where did they stand? Would they be discouraged
enough to wonder whether or not it was worth hanging in there with Jesus?
Where was the success in such a picture? Now, Jesus knew who would believe
and who would not, as well as who of the Twelve would betray Him. (John
6:64) But did they themselves know where they stood?
For us to consider where we stand is important as well. To verbalize it
helps strengthen the resolve in our own minds and solidify our stand. Though
all others leave, would we remain?
Peter's response would have not only helped establish deeper roots to
his resolve, but also encourage the others.
"(68) Simon Peter answered him, 'LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO? You have
the words of eternal life, (69) and WE HAVE BELIEVED, and HAVE COME TO KNOW,
that YOU ARE THE HOLY ONE OF GOD.'" (John 6:68-69 ESV)
For Peter there was NO OTHER OPTION! That is a great resolve for us to
share as well. Let us not even leave the door open a crack for ANY OTHER
OPTION. Having come to know that Jesus is "the Holy One of God" and
remembering it is only He Who has "the words of eternal life" should keep us
from turning away. May our following never end.

Subject: Better don't eat fish for now
Hundreds of fish were dying in Baram River
Then Borneo Resources Institute Malaysia (Brimas) is shocked with another wave of mysterious death of fish in Sarawak. Over the last few days, hundreds of fish were found dying in Baram River, particularly around the Kuala Baram area.
Brimas officers have conducted field visits and investigations in the area and were surprised to see several species of freshwater fish dying in the river. The fish species that were found dying are locally known as Ikan Baung, Ikan Burih, Ikan Tapah, Ikan Padi to mention a few.
Also found dying were various types of prawns. Through our observation, most of the fish seemed weak, tired and having difficulty in breathing. As a result, the fish surfaced for air but after sometime suffocated to death. Also, the fish appeared blind.
Our officers have conducted site examinations on some of the dead fishes, particularly checking their gills. Brimas found that the gills of the fishes were not clogged with mud or blocked by silt. The stomach or intestines of the dead fish did not contain mud but seemed watery.
Regarding the condition of the Baram River, Brimas officers noticed that the water was murky. According to some local villagers at the Kuala Baram area, they have not seen any difference in the water as over the past years, the river has always being brownish, muddy and polluted with silt due to logging, oil palm plantations and industrial development activities.
Brimas has collected some water samples from Baram River for further investigation and necessary action.
Brimas is concerned with the safety of villages and members of longhouse communities along the Baram River. These people are exposed to danger and environmental disaster as they entirely depend on Baram River for their daily livelihood.
Brimas has seen these people scooping up the floating fish as well as collecting the dying fishes in Kuala Baram. It is alarming to note that these fish were sold at the local markets around Miri here. Innocent members of public could have bought and consumed these fishes and prawns unaware of the possible health risks.
Brimas is appalled with this reoccurrence of the large-scale dying of fish in Sarawak rivers. It seems that major rivers throughout the state are affected by this mysterious phenomenon. This seems like a wave of destructive incidents affecting all of our rivers.
These series of mysterious death of fishes had occurred twice in the Bakun dam project area in Belaga, then in Balleh and last week it was at the Mukah River.
With this new incident at Kuala Baram, based on our site investigations and observations, Brimas has identified the possible source and culprits that cause these incidents. However, Brimas would rather not pinpoint the culprits now but allow the relevant authorities to carry their investigations independently.
Brimas urges the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) to conduct thorough investigations to find out the cause of the death of these fishes. Their reports must be made public as the nature of this mysterious phenomenon is of public interest and concern.
Brimas also supports the NREB in taking whatever action in enforcing the law against the culprits or responsible parties so that these incidents will not recur in the future.

Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1. This is what he came up with.....
1 day I go 2 climb a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I ran until I fell 6 and threw up. So I go into 7-eleven and grabbed some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab at him. 10 God he run away.
10 I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7-eleven. Next day I called my boss and told him I was 6. He said 5 , tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asked me to go climb a 3 and jump down! I don't understand. I am so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1.

14th Feb- celebrating our FIRST LOVE
With the whole world celebrating Valentine's day .. roses, chocolates, dinners with the beloved, the i-youth at GMC Miri celebrated valentine with their FIRST LOVE..
Earlier in the morning, these two were seen to be up to something...
My... not a bad job..
we had pot bless( candle-lit style) ... a time of sharing our love and fellowship together.. (i would not give that up for the world).. XD
Then it our love songs to our First Love.. Oh..my fave..YOU ARE MY WORLD.. brought tears of joy and grateful ..
The best part of the whole evening (IMHO) were the sharing/testimonies from the Teng Bros. They shared how they came to know the Lord, and the sense of belonging to the i-Youth, they testified the goodness of the Lord. GOD IS GOOD!!!! was proclaimed many many times..Amen!!! GOD IS GOOD
The Lord is indeed good to all of us. These brothers are some of the living testimonies witnessed in the i-Youth which boldly proclaimed the love of God.
How wonderful it is to see the youth mature in their walk with the Lord.
Personally, this valentine was my BEST!!!
